General Comments:
Fished from the spit which in the record breaking temperatures was quite tough. Had to use spots from around the whole lake to locate fish. The levels of weed made fishing very tough. Weed reaching the top of the water for around 40% of the lake. The back of the spit almost being impossible to fish only produced 1 of the fish. (This reducing the number of swims) It stated up to 8 anglers. Taking the weed into account and the low water level i’d say it was more ideal for up to 4 anglers at the moment. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. The owner has now confirmed they will be treating the weed this winter, so for 2023 it should not be a problem.

Details of your catches:
24 carp to 43lb 10oz 6 Catfish to 75lb Most carp were between mid and high 30's, with just 3 being over 40lb, Two years ago we caught less fish but the majority were 40lb+. We believe this was probably down to 2 years of Covid disruption with fewer anglers fishing and less bait going in.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
We only used boilies (around 12kg each) for the week. Mostly Mainline Cell, but also caught on CC Moore's Live System. Standard bottom bait and snowman rigs accounted for all the fish. We were fortunate to have the whole lake to ourselves, so fished off the spit in all directions.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, as we'd been here before.
Were you happy with them?
Yes. Plenty of freezer and fridge space, cooking hob and microwave. We chose to cook on the bank this time so we could stay by our rods.

Yes, and I often point people asking about fishing in France to Angling Lines
General Comments:
A much needed, extremely peaceful and stress-free week with fish being caught every day. This included three double takes. It's a lovely, well kept lake which has easy access to shops. A special mention to the superb fresh bread Boulangerie Jacques in Beaurieux (left as you go out of the lake - 5 mins down the road). Something that people may find of interest is the new 24 hour Pizza machine in the village. We didn't try it so can't vouch for the quality, but they look great.

General Comments:
What a wonderful time we had Beaurepaire last week. Sophie was really welcoming and helpful, paying us several visits throughout week. We all caught really well, with several Pb's and are looking to book again for next year. A beautiful little lake with plenty of good fish and very good facilities.
