Yes, the lake is beautiful. The cabins are adequate, but might struggle if the lake has the total number of allowed anglers as there is only one WC. 3 x fridges and big chest freezer are good and multiple bins are strategically positioned around the lake.

General Comments:

We arrived after an (apparent) week of torrential rain, so the ground was quite wet under foot. It soon dried out though, but the water levels rose approx. 50cm over the course of the week, so be careful if fishing either of the spits. Fishing was hard with not many fish showing and then starting to spawn as we left. The lake has an abundance of wildlife (Muskrats, Coypu, Birds and Frogs). The muskrats/coypu can be a pain at night swimming through lines so recommend back-leads, but the animals are harmless and not timid. The week we were there, the frogs were really noisy, not sure if this is seasonal or the norm. Overall a lovely venue, easy to get to from Calais, with a lovely restaurant in the hotel in the village and Sophie is an excellent host. We went expecting to catch more, but still had a good time and will be back in the future.

General Comments:

We had constant rain last 24hrs as vans are parked behind swims we had trouble getting vans off of the lake! Went and woke Bernard asking him if he had a tractor, within half an hour someone turned up with one who was able to pull van out which was in mud up 2 wheel arch. This was 8.30am mind you! VERY GOOD SERVICE. If loads of rain move vehicles to top level by facilities.

Details of your catches:

A very hard weeks fishing, moved swim on Tuesday as no fish then caught a new PB 51 .04 mirror, followed by 30lb mirror and a 30lb grass carp.
