Details of your catches:
48 carp over the week 13 over 40lb 3 over 50lb 30+ 30 lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Clay spots within the slit seemed to do the better fish but far margins did a lot of 30lb carp Short fudes booms and size 4 jps with 22mm hardened bottom baits

Details of your catches:
swim 1 - 6 carp, biggest 41, 47lb swim 2 - 15 carp to 40lb, 2 grass carp biggest 43lb Also several tench to 6.12, a 4lb bream and a 10lb pike
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Fish seemed very moody; baited spots didn't produce many fish so cast around to find fish. Fish often bow-waving just below surface but not feeding. Fish caught seemed to be well below expected weight, so we assume there had recently spawned. Most fish caught on plum boilies provided by Mark
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, new chest freezer is very useful

We've fished Brie many times before and even if the fishing is tricky the lake and the surroundings never disappoint

Details of your catches:
15 Carp caught between 4. Mirrors - 28.12 - 47.10 - 25.14 - 35.00 - 44.09 Commons - 33.00 - 48.03 - 43.09 - 51.12 - 56.02 - 40.08 - 38.15 - 40.12 - 45.11 Grass - 46.00 Tench x 4
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Difficult to pin down a tactic as we tried them all (we were told on arrival that the fish were spawning). We caught most of our fish from the far margin using cell bollies with snowman rigs. We tried to nick a bite here and there so we didn't use a lot of free offerings.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Perfect, a little bit of a walk especially from the far swim, bring a bike with you. Shower were hot and the toilet was clean.
Were you happy with them?
Very happy, new chest freezer is massive and the shower / toilet room was just right.

Yes, moved our return tunnel crossing to an earlier slot over the phone, which took a few minutes. Never had an issue booking through AL.
General Comments:
We loved the lake, was just a shame that the fish were spawning otherwise we would have caught more. I think a swim needs to be added to the top of the lake as most of the fish were sitting up there. You would need a rowing boat or a boat with an outboard motor to get close to them.

Details of your catches:
Struggled through week, managed 2 fish, both mirrors, 34lb 4oz and 44lb 8oz
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Not enough caught to recommend tactics
Were the facilities what you expected?
The toilet and showers were clean and tidy, downside was they are a ten minute walk from the lake, advise taking a push bike. Fridge freezer was not big enough to cater for the two of us, if there were 4 anglers there would not be enough room to store a weeks worth of frozen bait or room for food that requires refrigeration. Advised Martin of the lack of freezer space and advised him that a chest freezer for anglers bait would be a benefit. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We have discussed freezer space with the owner, a new bait freezer is now in place.

General Comments:
The ambience of the lake was fantastic, loads of wildlife an birds, very little road traffic or people noise. Very little light pollution during night. Despite the freezer concerns and distance to toilets/showers would book a return trip.
