General Comments:

Swims, gravel over sheeting. Became extremely slippy in places when wet. Finished up on back which isnt recommended for seventy year olds!

PBs for Ben and Bobby, both with 40s. Ben actually had 2 x 44s and Bobby with a 41! I had 16 fish in total, but really struggled for stamp of fish, biggest went 35 odd, and strangely mostly mid to upper 20s.

General Comments:

Great week topped with PBs. Great fish, great angling lads! Our peg (11) fished really well through the week even with the extremes of temperatures, literally sunbathing during the day and then a sharp frost at night.

Always, Angling Lines are always very helpful. Jo from Angling Lines in particular was outstanding… we had an out of the blue bereavement a couple of days prior to the trip and Jo helped us re arrange things for the lad who sadly lost a family member. It was just outstanding support.

General Comments:

Frank is the bailiff on brocard and such a nice guy, nothing a trouble. Really nice relaxing place and really a place that you can just unwind and let your troubles free. Thanks all involved for a great week. Also to note another angler on the lake had car issues and needed to stay a few more days.. again Angling Lines, Frank and Mark were really helpful and made Adam’s nightmare a bit more tolerable... you have to ask yourself how many other French lake companies and lake owners would be as accommodating!! I know who I’m sticking with!

Details of your catches:

A few fish lost to big snags in the margins. Nigel 5 fish 2 x 40s, Michael 4 fish 3x20 and 1 x 30, Jack 1 fish x 20, Arron 1 fish x 20, Geoff and Phillip no bites. peg numbers very confusing with no numbers on swims.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Website please add, leave boilies at home! Poisson chats just annihilate them in minutes, tiger nuts only bait that survived the night, plastic baits were also ok. We all spent hundreds of pounds on bait that was useless. Nobody allowed to move swims all fish seemed to be one end of the lake but we were told we could not move from allocated swim with no chance of stalking a fish *Angling Lines comment* Unfortunately as the lake was fully booked it was not possible to move swims/ stalk the fish as this would be unfair to the other anglers fishing.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Shower was about a mile walk from swim 6 so it would be an idea to bring a bike or scooter for those that are without vehicle. The shower and charging points were all solar powered and one morning it was dead and could not flush the toilet.

Were you happy with them?

Not ideal long walk, floor was dirty got out of shower and feet got muddy don't think anyone cleaned facilities whilst we were there. Charging point for bait boats etc always full. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. The facilities are cleaned every Saturday on change over day, a mop is provided for anglers to use during the week for after showering.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Maybe

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Angling lines would get my recommendation

General Comments:

With very little notice due to flooding at Lepinet our group was split up which was not ideal but appreciate effort to save the trip.
