Details of your catches:
5 carp caught the biggest came at 49.5lb. Was a tough week but once you have worked the lake out the fish started coming. The reviews about the bream are ridiculous just use big baits and you’ll have no problems.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
20mm iso fish boilie, 16mm pineapple pop up boilie, fish as a snowman
Were the facilities what you expected?

Will 100% return great host, great place. Later in the year would be better to really get a good hit of carp

Details of your catches:
Very hard fishing with only 1 carp to hit the bank, we all caught an excessive amount of bream. The 1 carp that did come out however was a true peach, she weighed 60lb and was in top condition.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
The only fish fell to a 15mm yellow popup over handfuls of boilies.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes facilities were great, except a few minor issues that were easily solved!

I would, however only at the right time of year, the drive can be quite a push. I would recommend something to be done with the amount of bream though, whether that be adding some more predatory fish or doing a general netting. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We've spoken with the owner regarding the presence of bream. It’s something we’re aware of, and to help avoid them and get the best out of your session, it is recommended to use larger baits (15mm pellet and 20mm hook baits). This is also noted on our website, as it tends to be the most effective approach. Of course, every angler has their own preferred methods, but in this case, smaller baits did make it harder to steer clear of the bream. The lake has an extremely high population of predatory fish, which help to reduce the amount of smaller bream in the lake. For the larger ones that occasionally show up, the owner does operate a removal policy. While netting isn’t currently a viable option due to the configuration of the lake, the owner has taken your comments on board. In the meantime, we would definitely recommend using the suggested bigger-sized baits to our anglers, when visiting The Golden Carp Lake.
