Details of your catches:
16 fish. Mostly mirrors - biggest fish being the big common @ 57lb. All hard fighting healthy fish.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Far margins 30 wraps up to snags (2 rod lengths off) braid with snag leader essential (30lb), mono has too much stretch. Baiting up from far bank with baiting spoon then bait boat on top with boilie crumb and hook bait. Sticky krill hard hookers with corn topper worked for me but bottom baits were also ok krays didn’t seem to touch too much. Bites seemed to come late evening after 5pm or when light levels start to drop. Lots of wood, branches on lake floor so if your lines moved or not done anything in say 6 hours, I’d prob redo knowing what I know now. Takes can be instant and powerful on braid, being on your rods in seconds and your rods being locked up and held down seemed essential. Need strong hooks with a thicker wire gauge I had a prob with a normal hooks straightening during the take.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, from peg 2 it's a 10 min walk through a woodland path around the lake, a few brambles enroute. Carrefour shop is literally 5 mins away with all essentials and a pizza vending machine, washing facilities and fuel. Swim are crushed limestone or something, hard on the bivvy pegs bring a mallet (not carpy I know).

General Comments:
A proper gem! Beautiful gin clear water, wild lake with hard fighting carp if you get on them, plenty of beauties can be had. Owner is a top class bloke, will help in any way possible. Charged our boat batteries at his home and dropped them off the next day. 100% recommend the lake to anyone.

Details of your catches:
3 grass carp to 36lb, 2 mirror to 27lb and a 15lb common
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Wrapped and fake baits (due to an excessive amount of crayfish) with not a lot of feed due to the extreme heat. Fished away from the margins due to a lot of snags. All of this contributed to low fish count
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes
Were you happy with them?

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes if the fallen trees and snags are removed.

Overall we were happy with the venue. The owner was friendly and helpful. Getting to the venue was easy, there is a supermarket 5 minutes away which was good and a tackle shop 25 minutes if needed
