Vehicles and traffic on the site
Each swim has its own entrance (please see information on driving details in your info pack).
Swim 2 is located approximately 400 meters from the facilities cabin, and you can either walk or drive to and from these. When driving to the facilites you should head back towards the entrance gate then take a right turn and follow the track round.
Bait boat and boats
Bait boats are allowed. Boats and inflatable boats are allowed, as well as electric motors and echo sounders. Life jackets must be worn at all times when using boats.
The use of baitboats and boats needs to be reasonable and please don't break the rules about distances. Fishing zones of each swim must be respected.
General rules
- From the end of November until the beginning of March there is no running water in the facilities due to freezing conditions (although the toilet can still be flushed using a bucket of water). Solar power remains unaffected.
- During higher water levels (usually earlier in the season), we recommend bringing wellies - the lowest platform of swim 1, for example, may be slightly underwater and so this makes it easier to land fish.
- Children (under the age of 18 years) must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times
Fishing rules
- Only 3 rods per angler, NO KILL ONLY!!
- Simple hook only, microbarbed only, no barbless. Size of hook between 2 and 6, no smaller hook please!
- IMPORTANT: one rig per rod. We once saw one rig + a chod over this rig on the leader… that’s totally forbidden.
- Mainline need to be minimum 0.30mm, braid on the mainline is allowed but only with a mono shockleader at the end!
- Lead needs to be free from the line, and the rigs need to permit to the fish to release in case of you break. The rigs resistance need to be unless the mainline resistance.
- Leadcore are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN, you could use Fluorocarbon leaders or tubing to replace it (we have some tackle to sell, just let us know what you need).
- Large landing nets and unhooking mats are obligatory. Mats need to be wet before using. Only rigid weigh slings allowed.
- Fish need to be handled with attention, wet frequently and released quickly. Sacks are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
- Home made particle is not allowed at the lake.
- Reasonable baiting quantity please, we can take the decision to put a limit quantity per day at some periods of the year.
- Boilie guns are forbidden.
- Pike and perch fishing is forbidden.
- Bite alarm volume should be low please so as not to disturb other anglers.
- Each angler needs to respect their swim area, if people disrespect this then we can ask you to leave definitively the lake.
- No rods left in the water unattended if you leave your swim for a social or going to sanitaries.
- You give us permission to use the photos of your catches to use them on our website and social media.
If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
Thank you for respecting the rules.
