Details of your catches:

0. No fish were caught in the week of our trip. I am a none angler and shared a peg with my father in law. Neither of us caught a fish.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We tried various methods recommended by the lake manager.

Were the facilities what you expected?

I was surprised that there was only one toilet and one shower cubical on site. Personally from a camping background I thought this was a little bit poor. Toilet rolls also ran out and were not replaced (so assuming that the toilet was not checked on a regular basis).

Were you happy with them?

Overall the facilities were basic. The addition of a second toilet and shower would have made a big difference.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

The venue has a huge amount of potential to be a very good venue. But I personally think it lacks facilities to make it that. So no I would not recommend it to a friend.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Your overall services have been very good. Good communication via email etc.

General Comments:

The lake manager seemed to be somewhat pre occupied with other tasks other than helping/informing the anglers. As I said I am not an angler. I was guided by my father in law. I have travelled extensively through France and also taken part in cycling holidays. The guides on cycle tours seem much more interested in the guests happiness. I think they could have moved some of the anglers onto other empty pegs to see if they could have caught fish on them. We were not offered any help or support from our first meeting with them upon arrival. I spent sometime talking to the lake manager and he considered himself a professional carpist. But did little to offer assistance to me or my father in law on what was the best tactic to caught fish at his venue. A really shame we didn’t catch anything. The lake is stunning. The area surrounding it is beautiful ( I took my bike and went for a couple of cycle rides) the local people were friendly and welcoming. I would perhaps look at using your services again but I doubt I would reconsider Jonchery lake again. As mentioned I am a none angler, I throughly enjoyed the lake and the surroundings. I couldn’t comment on the fishing though. It would have been nice to have caught at least one fish for my father in law.

Sunrise for peg one.

General Comments:

Mark more interested in fish netting. Anglers come second this was my third visit so I can see the difference with mark no time for the anglers he only went around the lake once all week very disappointed with him and the cost of his bait.
