Please note; for groups larger than 7, also booking the large house accommodation is mandatory (because groups of this size would put too much pressure on the lakeside angler facilities alone). When making your booking online, you must tick the 'Large House' box.
Angler Facilities
A rustic, simple lakeside chalet with a complete kitchen is at your disposal - this includes cooker, microwave, BBQ, fridge freezer, pots and pans. A separate cabin has bait freezers and storage space and a further room houses the toilet, sink and shower.
There are also indoor and outdoor covered seating areas.
A rowboat is on site for anglers use in the event of a carp being snagged etc. Please note that the rowing boat is not for general use, only in the event of an emergency and life jackets must be used.
Locally shops and supermarkets are only a short drive, but the lake sits in a quiet valley between two small villages.
There is usually no problem with phone signal around the lake (but of course it may vary between providers). The facilities and large house are connected to mains water, making the water safe to drink.
The Large House Accommodation (Optional)
Overlooking the lake, this house can sleep up to 16 people with 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, large kitchen and living areas, dining room and large patio area to one one end of the lake. Ideal for that large family group or birthday celebration perhaps.
There is a flat screen TV in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, coffee machine, stovetop and oven. There are also 2 barbecues, one with gas and one with wood or charcoal.
The bedrooms consist of 5 double rooms, 3 twin bedrooms and two single beds can be arranged in the common area. Bedlinen and towels included. There is WiFi available in the house and pets are allowed by prior agreement only.
Please note; it is not possible to fish from the accomodation.
'Everything about the stay was fantastic - the house is beautiful and was very comfortable for our group of 14. Phillipe gave us a tour of the house when we arrived so we knew how everything worked. There's a lovely fireplace in the living room, a beautiful deck by the lake where we did yoga and had several meals, as well as a fully stocked kitchen and a sunny area outside in front of the house. There's a market at nearby Tourouvre on Fridays and a beach at a lake not far away to swim at - a wonderful time in the countryside! Phillipe was a fantastic host and I highly recommend staying if you're with a big group!'
