Arrival - Time of arrival is 11am. Please contact owner Philippe an hour before arrival so he can be there to meet you.
Departure - Time of latest departure is 10am.
Lake Rules
- Three rods maximum. Please do not leave your rods unattended!
- Minimum breaking strain 15lb. No braided main lines or braided leaders. Shock leaders to be mono. No lead core rigs. One of the following must be used: Korda safe zone leader or tubing or leadless leaders with no fixed beads
- All rigs must allow fish to free themselves in case of a breakage
- Barbless or micro barbed only. No bent hooks
- La Fonte is mostly a boilie venue. No use of nuts of any sort (except tinned Tiger nuts). No particles. Cooked maize is allowed
- Large unhooking mats are provided and compulsory and should be wetted before use. For the maximum safety of the fish sacking is not allowed at any time. Never stand while holding or carrying a fish and please release all fish without delay (max 5min). Use slings or suitable mats
- Landing nets should be 42 inches minimum, all landing nets must be dipped for a minimum of 5mins in an antiseptic tank and then rinsed in another tank - both provided on site
- Please use a carp anti-sceptic like "klin-ik" if necessary. No marking or mutilation of fish. Offenders will be prosecuted. No kill for all species, please take maximum precautions with the fish
- Baitboats are allowed
- There is a rowing boat on site which anglers can use in the event of a carp being snagged etc. Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times. Please note that the rowing boat is not for general use, only in the event of an emergency
- Brollies and bivvies must be green or camouflage pattern
- Barbecues on legs are allowed but no fires on the ground
- The water in the cabin is drinkable
- Rod pods: please note as all our swims are platforms swims, the use of rod pods will be necessary
- No swimming
- Dogs allowed at the lake by prior arrangement only (please confirm type of dog).
- Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult angler in the same swim at all times
- Toilets must be used, not the bushes
- Please ensure that radios are played quietly
- Whilst we understand that having a few beers is all part of the holiday, alcohol should be consumed safely and not to the point of being drunk, which could create safety problems for both the angler and the fish
- Please do not leave rods unattended at any time
- The management cannot be responsible for any theft or damage to personal property caused on premises
- If anglers fail to comply with these rules the owner is within his right to expel the offending person, without refund
- For groups larger than 7, booking the large house is mandatory. When making your booking online, you must tick the 'Large House' box.
Accommodation Rules
- No smoking
- No loud parties or events
- The tenant agrees to peaceful enjoyment of property and not to cause any trouble or nuisance
If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
