Excellent week for all 3 anglers finishing the week on 53 fish, the carp going upto 43lb with the majority doing 30lb plus. Also a 55lb and 65lb cat

Lake bait boilies tipped with sweetcorn fished over beds of particles boilie and pellet, Simple blowback rigs doing the business

53 fish including, 23x30s 2x40s The big mirror at 53.8lb 36, 56, 62lb catfish

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The swim by the lodge produced the most bites casting down towards the aerator / margin. Bottom baits and wafters, inferno and krill did the business for us.

Were the facilities what you expected?

This was our second time to the lake so we knew what to expect, everything was perfect for a weeks fishing, shout out to the power of the shower!

General Comments:

Our only comments would be that if angling lines would offer the euro tunnel instead of P&O ferries to get us to the lake faster that would be great and I think more anglers would book. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback and we're so pleased you enjoyed Lillybelle :-) We do offer all crossing routes at point of booking online including Eurotunnel.

Total of 28 carp caught and 2 catfish 1 x PB 51lbs mirror 2x 40’s 9 x 30’s 12 x 20’s

Fake corn, fake maize. Switched to CC moore pro stim liver bottom baits/wafters and had more half way through the week

Yes, very good. Loads of pans, cutlery, cooking utensils, microwave

General Comments:

Only thing we’d change are the pegs, became muddy after a load of rain and therefore quite slippy. Possible veranda over the lodge to eat under cover would be even better!
