Myself and son used mostly bottom hair rigs with either wafter or pop up baits with fairly good success.

Were the facilities what you expected?

It was a drive and survive venue. The general lake and complex is beautiful. The on-site facilities were acceptable with a fairly powerful shower, fridge and freezer storage space & electrical charging ports. The toilet worked but wasn’t the best of draining type systems. There wasn’t any drinking water but local amenities were close by for any essentials needed for a week there. This was all more than acceptable for the weeks use.

Were you happy with them?

Very happy overall with the visit and will happily return I expect.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes if you want peaceful fishing with acceptably spaced swims, this venue is suitable for most.

Angling lines were helpful and no reason not to use for future bookings.

Great place, I am going back. Shops not far to drive to. Bailiff very helpful, he talks little English, but not a problem with smart phone translation.

This time for us smaller amount of bait worked better. Just a handful at the time! Feeding of course it will depend on time of the year!

Yes , this was our second trip and we booked for next year, we like the lake because it old and natural, snags and plenty of space and we like the fish variety but some angling experience is a must and make sure you have the right tactics and tackle when you hook into one of the larger resident sturgeons in the lake!!

General Comments:

Vaumigny lake is a beautiful, natural tree lined lake. Its a slice of heaven. There's spots to hide from the sun. The only down fall is the pegs can be challenging. But if you like the natural untouched feel you definitely get that with this lake. Frank the owner is a great guy and helped with anything that was needed. Shower is very powerful, clean and the toilet always had essentials. Overall I would 100% recommend this
