130 carp, 7 separate fish over 30 with the majority between 20 and 28lb. Biggest 35.8 common and 36.2 common. Also had some smaller sub 10lb carp and huge Rudd and roach in the float gear

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Best catches came from open water using fish meal boilies, we were concerned as we took no bait boats but this proved not to be necessary. The fish crashing in the far margin are not necessarily the ones feeding! Don't ignore the close in margins!!

Outstanding, we've been to plenty over the years and are regular travellers to France, these were the best we have stayed at.

General Comments:

The family were extremely pleasant, the swimming pool was an essential in the 40 degree heat - and the Carp are in fantastic condition and larger than anticipated. Excellent week can't recommend enough.

I carp fisherman - caught 14 carp to 23 lbs, lost 2 plus 2 tench and 2 roach. 3 fisherman caught lots of roach and small carp

The lake is a fantastic venue , large enough to make the fishing interesting and the carp roll and crash out making it very clear where they are located. However, you do need a bait boat and I didnt have one with me - hence the low catch rate ! It was hugely frustrating to see so many showing in the very area I couldn't reach ! The fish i did intercept were mainly caught on the method

We stayed in the gite and the family were very happy with the property. The swimming pool in particular was well used and very clean

General Comments:

Vincons is a great venue and the owner Alice is very friendly and helpful - but if you are considering a booking make sure you take a bait boat . We had a great family holiday and some good fishing so thanks to both Angling Lines and Alice.

Details of your catches:

2 anglers and 2 part timers 74 carp from 8lb 10oz to 29lb 04oz 24 of which were 20lb plus Tench, carp, roach&rudd on feeder up to 3 lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

15mm Essential cell snowman rigs with home made pop ups. All fish caught from far margin between the two willow trees. Bait boat was vital. Only 2 fish caught from any other areas. Fish spawning on the Friday but sempt to mean a run of 20s with 9 in a row up to the biggest of the week. First half of week slow with temps up to 40 degrees so night better during this weather. When weather cooled the fishing in the day improved.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes they are lovely and better than expected. The pool was great for the kids in the boiling weather and the gite and lodge clean and very nice. They lake itself is beautiful if not a little bigger than expected. The owners were very friendly and helpful throughout.

Were you happy with them?

Yes exactly what was needed apart from maybe a fan for hot nights.

Yes as long as happy with nothing over high 20s but plenty of runs.

General Comments:

The whole family had a great time and although we wasn't looking forward to the long drive the venue was well worth it. The fish are all in great condition and plenty of bites made for a lot of fun. Alice, her mum and family made the perfect hosts ,leaving us to enjoy the holiday but also being there if and when needed. 10/10
