General Comments:

This is a fantastic venue for non stop action, When you locate the carp, which is easy, then one rod is all you can handle. The owners of the lake are very pleasant, have no idea about fishing as none of them fish. Eldest daughter, who speaks the better english, had a go and caught her first carp 16.1/2 lb.

Details of your catches:

About 80 carp caught in total ranging from 1lb to 29lb 6oz. Being wild carp, we caught all sizes with 15 being 20lb & above. Also caught were 10 tench, all small. It was hard at times as, due to the hot weather, the fish were spawning.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We caught on all tactics, margins / distance / float / surface, but we did not do very well with boilies. The bait of the week was tiger nuts with maize & other particles also working well.

Yes, just keep doors closed when not in use so the flies don't get in, as there are loads.

General Comments:

The place was lovely & people nice also. They left us to it but were there if we needed something. We took the wives & kids and they loved the pool & cottage but, with it being so rural, not a lot else for them to do. The fishing was good but, if the last day was anything to go by, could have been a lot better with 10 carp coming in 2 hours, 4 being 20lb+. Reading the previous reports, we took a lot of boilies but were disappointed as the alternative bait rods were catching on tigers/maize/sweetcorn/other nuts/halibut pellets. Personally I caught 30 (one being the 29lb 6oz) with over 20 of them being on tigers. (Only 2 on boilies which I fished on one rod throughout.) Shallow water seemed best through the day with deep water best in the night. Overall an enjoyable trip, thanks.

Rahja Spice boilies and crumbed boilies in PVA bags. Light and regular baiting of boilies with a catapult or bait rocket.

General Comments:

The lake was beautiful and tranquil & the owners reception warm and friendly. The excellent fishing lodge is literally 5 metres from the lake and the fish were some of the prettiest I've seen. An excellent family venue.

51 carp in total; 31 mirrors, biggest 32.5lb & 20 commons, biggest 28.5lb. 5 x 30's, 31 x 20's, 15 x doubles from 14lb to 19lb. Also 3 tench, biggest 8lb.

General Comments:

Your services were exceptional. Within the party we had a sudden diagnosis of cancer so had to bring the holiday forward. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and caught a few fish. He passed away only 4 weeks after returning home but knowing he got his wish of fishing in France was great. So thank you to you all for helping him achieve that. The owners were very kind and helped in all ways possible. Hoping to return again next year.
