Details of your catches:
I fished the first of the swims. I fished along the right hand side giving my mate plenty of room. It was a great week, we were catching carp 20 yards from the bank in front of us! Lots of carp caught with about 7 or 8 forties and 2 fifties. I had a beautiful 52.8 common. The fish were stunning, in fantastic condition. On the second swim the guy fishing in the shallowest water caught the least number of carp in the group but he still caught and they were really good fish. So we were all happy. We had a bloody lovely week.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
We went on the plum boilies bought from the bailiff. Really effective. We fished a bit of particle but not silly big beds and that seemed to pay off. We had fish in the daytime as well as night. No crayfish issues at all. Catching carp 20 yards out was a bit of a surprise.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, showers were lovely and warm. Toilet was a walk.
Were you happy with them?
Yes
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, I'd recommend. It was lovely for the nature side of things as well. We saw wild boar and deer in the field below. It was magic. We will definitely go back again.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Angling Lines the tops, thank you. Always sort everything out easy and lovely staff.
General Comments:
I feel its a pain to go to Jonchery first then 40 mins back to the lake, but apart from that great.

Details of your catches:
25 carp caught between three anglers. Ranging from mid thirties to upper fifties.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
We used a very simple mix of pellet and boilies which worked well.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Not exactly.
Were you happy with them?
The shower / toilet block was adequate but no issues with them. The fridge freezer was woefully inadequate for four anglers. No room at all to store freezer baits. A chest freezer would be a very welcome addition which would not be expensive at all. There's no facility to clean cooking equipment, utensils etc. The only sink available was in the shower/toilet block which had a notice above stating it was not for 'washing up' in. There was a hosepipe outside which we had to used which is not really acceptable. *Angling Lines note* The bait freezer is now being replaced for 2024 season.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, overall a good experience. With a few improvements as previously described it could be much better.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
I have used angling lines several times and it has always been a good experience.

Details of your catches:
Hard week fishing, Peg 1 had 2 x 50’s on the first night then a few 30’s and 40’s the rest of the week. Peg 2 was very slow 3 fish landed up to 42, lost 2 fish. Massive shoals of silver fish in this lake I have never seen so many in my life the entire like was boiling from dawn till dusk. Personally think carp stocks are down as not many fish showing.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Margins and mid water produced used impact particles and boilies
Were the facilities what you expected?
Shower and toilet up at the house are good. Lots of rats and mice in swim 1 climbing up the bivvies to reach bait.

Angling Lines are a good company but prices are expensive compared to rivals
General Comments:
Venue needs work, fallen trees in margins peg 2. Lots of vermin in swim 1 and both swims stink of urine. Had to meet mark at Jonchery which is 40 minutes from Brie this added almost 2 hrs to the trip. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. Trees will be assessed this winter and removed, alongside this the two swims and track to the lake are being resurfaced. The rats are actively managed fortnightly with poison, but feedback has been taken on board. The difference between calling in at Jonchery before Brie (to meet Mark and collect any ordered bait) should only add 35 minutes onto your journey on the way down as it is to the west of the lake and slightly closer to Calais. Unfortunately logistically it is not possible to deliver bait to the lake on changeover day at this time.

General Comments:
Been fishing Brie 4 times over the last 6 years & always enjoyed fishing this lake but found over the last couple of year's its in need of some tlc & swim maintenance also noticed the fish stock seems to be down. There also seems some confusion regarding the bailiff Mark Slade as when we arrived it seems new people have moved in, Bernard & Francois were very hospitable but didn't seem to know alot about fishing or the fishery however saying that Bernard was on hand & active in his visits to us. We had a very relaxing week & hopefully we will return but are a bit concerned about the future of this fishery. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that Mark is still the bailiff at Brie and available on his phone for any queries, we understand he spoke to you at the start of your week. Bernard lives at the farmhouse close to where the facilities are located and is the general caretaker. Fish stocks also remain unchanged at Brie, although we recognise that the fish spawned only recently and that perhaps contributed to what was a difficult week on the lake :-)
