2nd year back from a week in France @ Brocard Large, well what can I say apart from it was a cracking week with the lads even though I only had 3 fish and no one come away on a blank. All new French p.b’s. I was going really well the first 2 days in and thought this is it, it’s on, but sadly it dropped right off by my birthday and losing 4 fish for the rest of the week I manage to land a 50.4 grass carp first ever 50 & 21.3 koi and 30.4 linear

Hemp and corn mix in a boat do not wade out pushed the fish way

Pop ups on ronnie rigs caught the fish. We tried flat out bottom baits and snowmen but to no avail. We also failed to get a bite on tigernuts which have caught us fish in the past

Yes, great as always and 24 hour electricity is now available in the cabin

I have lost track of the number of trips with Angling Lines now over the last fourteen or so years and the service provided has always been impeccable.

General Comments:

Tough week, lost a few fish but no excuses. We enjoyed the week immensely and noticed that average weight of what we did catch was up on past years, so the future looks bright at Brocard. Franck was a gent as always (you couldn't wish for a better bailiff) and it was nice to catch up with Mark too.

General Comments:

Had a really good week considering bad fishing conditions, Franck the bailiff was spot on as usual. I read in an earlier feedback comment someone struggled with understanding his english can I just say his english is much better than my French and I found no problems in communication, he will bend over backwards to help in anyway he can. This goes for Mark Slade also you couldn't ask for better bailiffs, I would recommend this venue to anyone

Were the facilities what you expected?

No, they were pretty poor.

Were you happy with them?

No. Put our batteries on charge for 2 days. Got them back and were still flat. Me and a friends.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

For the peace and quiet of the lake yes. For the facilities and bailiff no. Was a poor overall experience for first time being abroad to fish.

Unfortunately no.

General Comments:

Found the bailiff didn't take much care of the anglers. Frank don't talk English really. Facilities were really really poor. The lake itself is beautiful. Lake was really shallow and so weedy was hard to even fish. *Owner's note* We were not aware of the charging facilities not working at any time and have received no complaints regarding this prior to this feedback, the only days these services are not available is Sunday and Monday but we do state this clearly on the rules. Bailiff Franck is at the lake Tuesday through to Friday but both Mark and Franck are always available via mobile, we supply these numbers on the info pack and urge anglers to give us a call with any problems so we can do our best to rectify them.
