DNA Boilies, Snowman as bottom baits. Most fish from swim 3, biggest fish from swim 1, didn't fish swim 2.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are very good. Well equipped kitchen, good shower and really hot.

Absolutely

Would definitely recommend La Fonte, it's a beautiful lake. The owner Philippe is an absolute gent, he has made significant changes to enlarge swim 1 following some negative feedback. There are plenty of fish and they are in amazing condition.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Second time we have used Angling Lines and they have, again, been brilliant. Highly recommended!

General Comments:

The fishing was very hard, but this was down to the conditions and I think separate pegs would have been a better idea. The fish we did catch were in great condition and worth the waiting. I would go back in the summer and the owner is a great guy and made it a pleasurable trip.

Swim 1 1 mirror 39.12 Swim 2 0 fish Swim 3 14 carp Biggest 39.6 Looking at previous reports I really cannot see where we went wrong. Tried various tactics and it just wouldn't produce. The days were very hot and the nights were very cold so we put it down to this. We tried far margins, close margins, open water, snowman, wafter, long and short rigs.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Extremely hard week for swim 1 and 2, the mirror was caught on a wafter to the far margin. Swim 3 mainly fished to the rope and had great success.

Yes I would, fishing is fishing, a bad week should not discourage other anglers coming here, I would just recommend a visit in September instead.

General Comments:

We weren't greatly pleased with the food package, especially breakfast. The facilities there are very good so i would suggest cooking your own.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The shower facilities were not good they are tired and very dirty. Swim 1 and 2 are not double swims. We had two people in swim one and it wasn't good. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, the owner has now enlarged swim 1 based on the feedback, we have updated the photos.

The lake is very nice. The trees surrounding swim 1 and 2 need to be maintained to a better standard.

I would 100% recommend Angling Lines to friends. It was easy to book. I was kept up to date when there were changes to ferry times. We had to leave a day early due to a family issue at home. Angling Lines responded so quickly contacting P&O changing our ferry times. Superb communication.

General Comments:

Very happy with Angling Lines. La Fonte is a nice lake but some of the facilities and swim sizes let the place down.
