Details of your catches:
Couple of fish to 30lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
From peg 10 the buoys are 190 yards out so dropping bait and rigs from a boat with an outboard or bait boat is the best method, plenty of hard areas and not too much in the way of weed however there are quite a few bars and plateau areas so need to be careful that you are not fishing tight lines over sharp bars.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Fantastic facilities, exactly as expected, lovely and clean.
Were you happy with them?
Yes, the facilities include toilet, shower, fridges and freezers along with electric to charge batteries and boats etc.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, I would recommend the venue, however, when fishing the North bank the area that seems to do most fish is the buoys at 190 yards so I would only recommend it if anglers are confident and capable of fishing at extreme ranges. There are no braided mainlines or leaders permitted so quite of a lot of trailing line is a common thing, shame really as braided mainline would really help with this issue. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. The lake has now amended rules to allow for safe abrasion resistant leaders (like the Korda safezone leaders) combined with drop off leads.

General Comments:
Leading up to our trip there were reports of the fish spawning or beginning to spawn, we verified this with the owner who said that was not the case however when we arrived it was clear a number of the fish were spawning, within 48 hours the snaggy margin in peg 11 was full of fish and they were chasing all round margins in front of peg 11 and 10, we wont fish for spawning fish as we personally feel that is just not acceptable at all. We made the decision to leave the venue and head elsewhere to leave the fish to spawn. It is a shame that commercial need takes priory over fish welfare but that does appear to be quite normal in France, we were told other fish were being caught and it wouldn't last long but that is just not right as far as we are personally concerned. Lesson here is not to go to France beginning of May through to early June in the future.

Very hard week for some, but some big fish out, we had 25 fish fishing at over 200 yds
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Long range fish for a bite at a time with heavy tackle, its a tackle grave yard
Were the facilities what you expected?

General Comments:
The flint bars are nasty and cut through 20lb line with ease and the fish know how to find them, it can make things hard as no leaders allowed. I personally think it would be kinder to the fish and angler if it was barbless hooks and the allowance of a leader, as some bad mouth damage.
