We had a good number of carp ranging from 30lb to 45lb, landed 5 catfish from 22lb -56lb and sturgeon from 40lb- 90lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

For sturgeon and catfish halibut pellets and sticky krill boilies and a mixture of particles, krill boilies smaller pellets for carp! Feed little and often!

Yes as we expected! Hot shower toilets fridge and freezer to store the food and charging points for batteries and power banks

General Comments:

Nice and natural lake! There are some snags in some of the pegs so have to be careful where you fishing and how you play the fish! Take plenty of end tackle!

Details of your catches:

I had 4 carp - 42lb, 42lb, 40lb, 30lb and a sturgeon of 57lb. My friend had several sturgeon round the 50lb mark and a 150lb diamondback sturgeon! Also a catfish of 67lb. Between us we lost 7 fish due to size 4 strong hooks snapping and snags

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing margins over big beds of boilies and pellets, come prepared with at least 25lb line as the lake is quite snaggy and the fish are very hard fighting, I was fishing locked up and I was snapped on 25lb line when I had a run and didn’t even have chance to pick the rod up!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were basic as expected but were clean and had freezers to store bait and charging points so all that you need is there. Local Intermarche supermarket just down the road too.

Very happy, frank the bailiff is very helpful

9 x catfish including 2 x 80lb + 9 x sturgeon biggest 61lb 42 carp 20,30,40 & 51lb

Bait boat, single hook bait firing freebies over the top, you do not need to pile it in.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Basic but clean which is good enough for us, nice big fridge & freezer, plenty of English sockets, only 1 toilet which is quite a walk on a 36 acre lake.

General Comments:

Lovely lake with a big stamp of fish but if you do not like raw natural surroundings this is not for you, most swims were quite tricky to land fish.
