Mirrors ranging from 30 to 37lb Cats ranging from 5 to 40lb Heavy heavy fighters all of them, lost more than we caught to be honest!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We all fished pop ups, using spicey bottom baits with lighter coloured half pop ups. Parti blend kept the cats away and kept the carp interested, no open water fishing was really done, all tight on the margins was our best producer . I would most definitely hire a boat and go out and find the gravel spots , I was lucky enough to find two that were only the size of bin lids tight under the trees and they produced for me.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were spot on, shower was hot, fridge was cold and the charge up points would still charge phone and boat batteries, and the toilet, well the toilet was a toilet!!!

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely made up with them!! The prices weren't the Hilton prices, and I thought you got more for your money .

General Comments:

Frank the bailiff made our week, he was funny cracking jokes with us all and would tell us where to try and what to try, we really couldn't of had a nicer bloke around us, he wouldn't come near us unless we asked for him and his experience and knowledge of the lake was immense and unbeatable. All in all we couldn't of asked for a better week away , 10 out of 10 isn't enough to describe Vaumigny lake

Single chod at showing fish then baited rigs worked better after spawning and change in weather

The facilities were a lot better than expected

Definitely but I would also like to keep it secret for myself

Angling lines were excellent, we had to come home a day early and they couldn't have been more helpful changing our ferry times. I have used them many times before and will continue to use them in the future

Fantastic holiday, fantastic venue

Details of your catches:

It was a tough week as fish were spawning. I had 4 carp to 37.08, 5 catfish to 25 and a 53lb sturgeon. Other swims done very well.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Start of the week pink pop ups were the way. When the weather changed they seemed to want food a bit more so i fished double boilie over bed of boilie.

I would definitely. But they need to be aware its very very snaggy and alot of fish get lost.

I have been away with angling lines before and will again. Outstanding friendly service from people who really do know there stuff. 10 out of 10

I knew the lake was a challenge and thats what I got. I'll be back for sure.
