Details of your catches:
Carp not massive but thoroughly enjoyed it. One of our group said it was the best holiday he'd ever had. Carp fight really hard. It was 42 degrees though by the end of the week! 30 + just fishing through the day.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Mainly using maize and hemp. Popped up activate also worked. We had lost a lot of runs, lost quite a few too. caught on silt as well as hard spots
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, lovely place, lovely facilities.Lakeside lodge great for cooking on the bank. swimming pool was great too to cool off. Family were great and we had one of her chickens in the week ...superb!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Boilies tipped with corn and double tiger nuts
Were the facilities what you expected?
Exactly what we expected, this our second time, however the wife said a toilet nearer the lodge would be a bonus :)

General Comments:
If you want peace and tranquility with friendly hosts and some of the hardest fighting carp I've ever caught, then this is the place for you. The carp are not huge by French standards but the sport is amazing, My son managed a p.b mirror of 24.4 also to top it all off.

Details of your catches:
Pretty much catch at will! It was hot and breezy so we swam in the day and fished dusk and dawn, carp from 14lb up to 27lb at about one an hour with a pva bag or a fish every twenty mins using the bait boat
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
pva bags off the dam and boated to the far bank and waded out from under the trees to the middle,, not much taking at the shallow end
Were the facilities what you expected?
yes this was my second trip to this venue, great facilities very nice, but could do with a comfy sofa in the living room
Were you happy with them?
great host's, looked after all our needs and was left to enjoy the venue without disturbance
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Details of your catches:
80 carp for just over 1,000lb. Average weight 12.5lb as I had 20 carp of less than 5lb. However, had 15 twenties with best at 25lb and most fish between 17-19lb. Was just 1 angler fishing and had 3 day trips out!
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Pallatrax Jungle and Crave boilies Tiger nut and piece of plastic bait Used a large number PVA bags with trout pellet/boilie crush and successful throughout the week with this tactic. Used Pallatrax Stonze and 'the Hook' Had one spot that I baited fairly heavy that soon went off boil. However baited another spot with similar amounts and it got better and better. Fished mainly from in front of lodge but also had couple of days on dam wall. Action started well as it rained Saturday as we arrived and cooled water. Sport slowed midweek due to heat but took off again towards end. Had 4, 16, 7, 10, 10, 14, 20, 1(in 1 cast before I went home!)
Were the facilities what you expected?
Had exclusive use of both cottage and lodge. Family of 4 but children only 1 1/2yr and 3 1/2 yr. Lodge was great base to fish from, store swimming gear and have meals at. Had great picnic on dam one evening.
Were you happy with them?
Yes. It would be good if you could supply a very large deluxe unhooking mat to be placed permanently outside the lodge area. The fish fight hard in and out of the water and the stone area outside the lodge is a hazard for the fish. I had a large unhooking mat but the supply of a top of the range (but bulky to transport)mat would be well used and useful.

General Comments:
A great holiday. Pool (and good weather) kept the young children entertained and also had 3 day trips out to Bourges (1 hr away lovely town and cathedral. Climb the north tower for great views), Saint Armand Montrond (30 mins nice town and Hypermarket on way in) and market at St Aout (10 mins - Tuesday mornings only). Alice and the Bouchets looked after us well. Lignieres and Carrefour supermarket only 10 mins away.
