Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Vast majority of fish were caught in the deep water (16-18 feet). A mixture of baits were used. Tigernuts and boilies being the most successful. Rigs were Ronnie's and combo's.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes. Plenty of fridge and freezer space
Were you happy with them?
Shower was small but always had hot water so was good.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, in a few years time. There are vast numbers of crayfish in the lake and caused a problem if you didn't wrap your baits and the margins are pretty much un-fishable! The big sturgeon is also a huge problem, 4 times people got snapped off trying to land it!
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, angling lines have been helpful and quick to communicate all the problems that have occurred to the lake.
General Comments:
I think there definitely needs to be more done to clear some of the crayfish out of the lake and the big sturgeon needs to be removed before we'd return. However we did have a great week and with all the fish deaths that occurred, we did better than I thought we would have.

Details of your catches:
We had common carp of 38lb and 57.08lb & Mirror carp of 33lb and 55lb. Also around 6 grass carp to 35lb.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Snowman rigs worked bast. Used DNA baits SLK & secret seven. There were only the three of us on the lake so had to change pegs around as fish moved. Weather was raining and overcast with one decent day so changeable throughout. Simon who caught the most fish put a good bed of lake particles down, flavoured with DNA additives and snowman rigs. Peg two did well, then he moved to pegs as he was sat on an ants nest! pegs 10 & 11 had the most fish showing. Found a spot 12 to 17 wraps out. The longer you left the baits in the better. Placed baits at 2pm and caught the following morning around 6.30. The carp were def in deeper water and a lot of activity around 3 & 5.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, good.
Were you happy with them?
Yes.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Lake fished poorly. So probably not at the moment but would otherwise.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, always used Angling Lines

Details of your catches:
I had mostly grass carp, but good sizes, 42lb 34lb & 24lb . I caught 2 very large bream and lost one fish. William had a 54lb sturgeon, 47lb + 3 x 20lb grassies. The carp fought hard and were in good condition. The biggest caught on our week was a (common) 57lb'er but sadly not by us it was caught by another angler on the lake! It was a slow week but to be expected I think, due to the very changeable weather, it was overcast first two days then changed on & off. The carp fought hard and were in good condition. Other lakes too in the area found it a tough week.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Swim 11. Lead clips, long hairs and plastic worked
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes, they were clean and excellent
Were you happy with them?
Yes
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, I would. It's recovering.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, absolutely.
General Comments:
Sebastien was great, let us have a look round etc, talked to us and left us to get on with it. Not a demanding owner.
