Electric kept tripping due to french guy and his family running an extension lead 150 yards to his swim, door lock on shower broken so couldn't lock the door

General Comments:

Good points... The carp are very hard fighting fish and some are in great condition... It's a stunning looking lake and has some nice features to fish too... Bad points... The big sturgeon is a pain as it's constantly getting hooked but snaps you off every time. I woke up a couple of mornings to find crayfish in my bivvy even found a couple on the road way behind the swims, definitely wrap your baits because there are thousands of them, swims need some sort of landing/releasing platform due to low water levels and rocky margins. The swim was littered with cigarette buts and bottle lids and burn patches from fires unfortunately for us when we arrived a french guy and his family had already arrived and set up in peg 3 without doing the draw or waiting for everyone to arrive for a walk around, he pretty much took up that half the lake with his bait boat, his 2 children were swimming and wading in and out of the lake which made the fishing hard for us as we was in peg 6 so all the fish spooked to the other side of the lake, I believe this could be a great lake but needs some TLC. The shower door lock is broken so couldn't lock the door, another guy was there with his daughter and the french guy walked in whilst she was showering so they felt uncomfortable and left early, 2nd time at Blue lake and shame to say it's gone downhill since my last visit 3 years ago *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. General Comments:

A good weeks fishing with my family, landed some awesome fish.

Details of your catches:

All together we had around 40 fish. Weights being from 20lb to 60lb. 1x60lb, 2x55lb, 1x46lb, 2x44lb, 41lb, 2x40lb, many 30's and 20's.

Wafters over lots of bait.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Plenty of fridge freezers, washing area large. Only comment would be toilet and shower could be bigger.

General Comments:

Great beautiful lake, nice healthy fish, large swims.

Our second visit to Blue lake didn't disappoint we opted for peg 6 with 2 other anglers opting for peg 10. We landed 35 fish and lost 10. Most bites came at night, picking the odd 1 up through the day as temperatures hit 30c most days

Bottom baits and pop ups, crayfish were very active, so I would reset the rods every 4 hours, most of the time the bait was gone.

Basic but all you need could do with updating, plenty of freezer space and fridge.

General Comments:

Overall lake needs some TLC. There were broken beer bottles in 3 pegs and hundreds of cigarette buts as well. We did mention this to the owner on arrival but it was still there when we left. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback.
