Details of your catches:

There were four of us in total, fishing doubled up on pegs 10 and 11. We felt that given an anticipated dip in overnight temperatures fishing in deeper water would reap benefits as the fish would hole up in the deeper part of the lake. We fished in between 14 and 17 feet of water however the fish remained in the shallower water. Between us we had 12 carp to 45lb plus, grassies to 31lb and a few largest bream

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Single white pop ups, or snowman with white pop up did the trick for Kev, who lead the way with 9 carp. We tried several tactics, had numerous missed runs, but loads of fun.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were spot on, plenty of freezer space, adequate toilet, and very warm showers. Plentiful charging points for batteries, mobiles etc. The only thing I would recommend, would be better pegs, by that I mean staging or platforms into the lake to aid with both landing and the safe return of fish to the water. The bank in front of us shelved very deeply to about 5 foot less than 2 feet out.

Were you happy with them?

Couldn't fault them, although the times on the lights could be a little more generous!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, with the caveat that in the warmer months go for the pegs in the shallower water. Think our pegs are best suited for late autumn or early spring, when perhaps the water temp is at its coolest.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes. Angling Lines make everything simple, they are like a one stop fishing holiday stop.

General Comments:

With a little attention to the pegs with regard to platforms this would be a cracking venue. Close enough to the local town Illiers-Combray to enable restocking of supplies and fresh bread from the local supermarket.

Yes, the facilities where fine. Just what was needed for a drive and survive.

Were you happy with them?

Yes. More than happy with them. Freezers and fridges has more then enough room.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Oh yes., we all caught a number of fish from all over the lake. Depths ranging from 4ft to 15ft produced fish.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Angling lines have been a dream to book through. Everything was a breeze and easy to work with.

General Comments:

The owners are at the end of a phone when more bait (pellet and maize) was required.

I had to rearrange my return journey a bit early as I had a mini family crisis. I literally had to sort this out whilst driving to the port. Angling Lines were simply brilliant. They discussed my issue and said 'we'll sort it'. 30 minutes later they called back and had booked an earlier crossing and managed all of the re-arrangements without any hassle. Fantastic, I cannot thank the lady at AL who did this for me enough. Thoroughly recommended. Great trip and great company to book through

Holiday cut short but I'll be back and with Angling Lines
