General Comments:

Great weeks fishing for all, most runs coming at night though!! If more than 6 anglers would be a little tight for space as some of the swims in the corners would be cut off. We were a little disappointed that we did not catch a 40 plus carp!! (too many doubles for a French lake!!) We all thought that 8 sturgeon in this lake was to many as one was caught on three occasions.

58 Carp - 1 x 40, 14 x 30s, 35 x 20s and 8 doubles. 3 x Sturgeon, 6 Bream, 1 x grass Carp and 2 ducks

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We caught the majority of fish on silty areas, fishing on gravel bars didn't produce. We used Quality Baits CM60 and HG47. We had great results using a spomb and fishing tight to baited areas of boilies, particles only produced bream.

Were the facilities what you expected?

No issues at all, shower block and toilets were very clean and the chest freezer was on and working for when we arrived.

Were you happy with them?

Didn't need anything more.

Yes, not a hard venue at all but time spent with a marker is vital as depths and features differ everywhere.

General Comments:

Although we had great weather throughout the day, the evenings and night were very cold. We did notice the fish did wise up to the pressure and moved away from our swims later on in the week. If you're looking for a venue to have runs this is for you.

Five mirror carp 10lb, 26lbs, 28lbs, 30lb and 30lb 8oz, 1 sturgeon 42lbs and 7 bream. Four fish were lost. Good quality fish.

Best tactics, caught on tigers and pop up boilies. Tried various tactics to bring the fish on but as it was just so cold, they were having none of it.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, facilities were clean as always.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, the hose in the shower block broke while we were there so we replaced it. The fridge/freezer was ample.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, nice lake, can drive all round other than if there is loads of rain and then the tracks are a problem.

General Comments:

The only negative was, when we arrived and had spoken to the owner before we arrived, no one came to meet us. We were able to get into the lake gates but we were unable to get into the facilities for about 4 hours to use the loo and get water. **Angling Lines note - We spoke to Sebastien about this, because of the distances involved it is not possible for someone to be there to meet anglers on arrival. However Sebastien said that he or one of his team always visit the lake as soon as possible every Saturday once he knows that the anglers have arrived. Sebastien acknowledges that occasionally he is delayed and this was one of those occasions. He apologises for any inconvenience this caused. He has also stated that he will leave the WC/Shower room open on arrival day so this problem won't reoccur.**
