General Comments:

Fantastic Lake. Clean & tidy facilities and surroundings. Joan and Philippe made us feel really welcome. The fishing was tough due to the time of year but we still managed 19 fish between 3 of us and the stamp of fish was very impressive indeed landing two of the biggest fish in the lake.

Could do with a tidy up and clean, disappointed finding food in the fridge and a mouse running round the kitchen, plus the box of poison on top of units *Owner's note* Joanne usually leaves some food in the freezer when we expect groups who take the food package. She was away for a couple of weeks and before leaving did not empty the freezer. Apologies, it was a miscommunication and we will try to avoid this in the future. Concerning the poison, we do have this on site in case we need to use it, but appreciate we should keep the box somewhere else than the kitchen, it will be moved. We will apply traps for the mouse.

Brilliant week fishing, be nice to try again when snags have been sorted and when it’s a tad warmer, beautiful lake

We caught 24 mirrors and commons ranging from 20lb to 43lb, we had 12 over 30lb and 3 over 40lb fishing days only

Simple bottom baits 20mm tuff sticky manila worked well over cooked maize. Tuff baits kept the cray fish off

General Comments:

It is a really nice lake in very peaceful surroundings, but the under water snags urgently need removing, it's very frustrating waiting 6 hours for a run and you loose the fish due to snags, we know how to fish this venue tight clutches ect but the branches are in many places are as much as 20 feet out from bank. I had to row out 4 times spoiling our swim worrying if i had tethered a fish. I also feel barbless hooks should be compulsory as we saw a lot of damaged mouths, tackle should be checked. *Angling Lines note* Philippe intends to carry out work to remove the snags later this month.
