General Comments:

This lake is one on the best looking and matured lake I have fished in France both Bruno and Diane are very welcoming. On arrival we had a good walk round and looked at all three double swims and each swim has a vast amount of water to fish. Waited for the other guys to arrive and a draw was done ,I pulled number 1 so dropped into Willow. This was my first time here and I’ll call it a success. We will be back for a second visit and I’m sure we’ll not be disappointed.

A total of 4 carp, ranging from 25lb to the biggest at 42lb (& one crayfish & one pike!)

Good question as the owner wasn't there for the same week his lake was fully booked! Most of the carp caught came out of the swim by the owners house… everyone else struggled (including me) for the week… and having read other reviews, this isn’t something new. Maybe it would have helped if the owner was there?!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Not really. The toilet and shower block is a long - and I mean long - walk from all of the swims. The ‘new’ toilet installed by the main entrance also takes 20mins to refill…not good at all.

Were you happy with them?

The toilet and shower block, when you get there, was clean and everything was good. The ‘new’ toilet - see previous comments - but it was also clean and tidy.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

In short - no. The bait ordered - mainly the parti mix - was just full of buckwheat, some other particles - no hemp - and went off after 3 days (mould appearing) and the tiger nuts were the size of maple peas, not good to drill out etc… can’t bring your own so can’t use those supplied! All in all, I wouldn’t have wasted much money on this venue and would not recommend this to anyone spending their hard earned money on a week here (see previous comments) unless they get into the only swim that produces bites on a regular basis. Maybe it would have helped if the owner of said lake was present, which with his lake being fully booked, you would have thought that would have happened. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. Yes - your overall level of service is excellent; damn shame this lake owner let us and therefore you down.

Seriously disappointed in the lake, the owner, the long walk (& the bait sold onsite!)

Wafters /Popups tipped off with a colour - all fish were caught from the far bank.

Were the facilities what you expected?

New toilet was handy but why is there not a hand wash sink there? Shower block was very good but way too far away, if you are in Willows be prepared to walk 3/4 of the way around the lake to get there.

Were you happy with them?

Toilets and shower in very good condition, plenty of hot water and in good decorative order.

Possibly, as stated in previous reviews about the lake it is very "peggy" with 75% of the fish coming from one swim on the left hand side of Willows, the other swims struggled to find or even see any fish. Crayfish were also present in some of the areas we fished

Angling lines have always looked after us, easy payments options and great communication.

It was disappointing that Bruno was not on the lake the week we were there as without his expert guidance most of us struggled the first couple of days to find some fishable spots. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. Yes Definitely have used angling lines many times and it is always hassle free.

General Comments:

Bruno is a fantastic host and will go out of his way to make your trip a success I have been to this lake lake 3 / 4 times now and this fish are just getting bigger & bigger, a brilliant place to go and catch some hard fighting carp.
