JENNY WENT HUNTING FOR A CAT AND CAME UP TRUMPS!, 12th Jul

Actively retired Jenny Handley, here for the second time with husband Ted has managed to break yet another La Glehias record. Last time here, Jenny winkled-out not one, not two, but three lake records -The Ladies Lake Record Mirror Carp, the Ladies Lake Record Common Carp and, the Ladies Lake Record Catfish! This time around Jenny broke her own Ladies Lake Record Catfish by a whopping 26lb 7oz!!

Jenny’s agenda when she arrived was to catch herself a big Cat and that she did! The capricious Catfish came out from just off the front of the sluice on a double 25mm drilled Carp Pellet tipped with one of Jenny’s special order Garlic boilies from Kent Particles. For the record, the 47lb 7oz kitten arrived bank-side on Tuesday 7^th July at 3:15pm.

There are at least three bigger cats in the lake; two at around the mid-fifties mark and the largest we can only guestimate at tickling 70lb and is proving to be quite a challenge to net. Maybe next time Jenny!

Both Jenny and Ted volunteer at the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, and have had a cracking week despite the changeable weather with Ted also netting his PB Grassie at 17lb 15oz on a Crab Boilie topped with Maize.

‘Great place for a week’s fishing. Everything you could ask for. Can’t think of anything to find fault with. Food was spot on! Must have put on half a stone!!! All in all well worth a visit. Thank you very much Lee & Tracy xxx’

The boilies we sell have all been tried and tested here and have a very proven track record. All Particles are prepared here on site to the highest possible standard using excellent quality ingredients and the pellet we sell is of the highest quality available and comes directly to us from the factory, after all it goes into our lakes and we wouldn’t feed our own fish with rubbish. Tinned sweetcorn can be bought locally or brought with you but please note that home prepared particles are strictly not allowed.

Lake Record Grassie!!!, 18th Apr

Tom Sharpe, the window fitter from Northampton, here for the week with dad Kevin and pal Nobby Chamberlain, managed to winkle out a 22lb Grass Carp, not only giving him a PB fish, but breaking the previous record by a whopping 4lb! Tom has also caught his PB Catfish here this week at 52lb! He and his party have had several Cats on the bank including 54lb, 52lb and a 46lber, as well as lots of cracking la Gléhias lumps to 38lb!

For the record, the stunning Grassie came in from the Gorse bank, about 40’ up from the BBQ Corner on a half Cell and half Pineapple pop-up boilie, popped up about 1”, at 08h30 on Tuesday the 14^th April 2015.
