Sunday 31st March to Wednesday 3rd April. 5 anglers. 14 fish landed. Total 405.5lb. The removal of all the trees from the far bank has made a dramatic change to the lake.

Facilities excellent. Good gravel path means little mud in the bivvies. The Gite is bijou comfortable. Cooked meals were excellent and on time.

4 x 40s, 9 x 30s, 9 x 20s, couple of smaller ones, 44lb largest. A few bream getting the way

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Boilies, some tipped off with pink pop ups, and some with yellow. Far margin seemed to produce best once we found correct spot. Now tree line has gone carp seem very wary of far margin, most fish caught at night when they felt safer. Very silty from swim 2 up to swim 3.

Yes very good, we had food package, endless pasta. Joan is very good and Phillipe as well. Shower facilities very clean and tidy.

We caught 31 carp, the biggest was 44lb10oz. We were very happy with the fishing and the fish were in excellent condition.

Bottom bait, all types of bollies

Yes the meal deal we had was very good. The shower and toilet were clean

General Comments:

Where they cut the trees down on the opposite bank around the lake there where a lot of branches left in the lake causing snags so we had to clean the area so we could fish there. We feel that these should of been cleared before we arrived seeing as Philippe was so concerned about the snags. We were told that there was 2 catfish in the lake and we found out in the week one of them had died and also some carp. *Angling Lines note* We can confirm the lake lost 4 carp and one catfish a few months ago. There did not appear to be proof of a common cause - it is normal for lakes to lose a few fish each year down to natural causes and we do not believe this has impacted catch reports. Regarding the branches on the far bank, we apologise if these caused you any issues. We had two people at the lake clearing them one day last week and will continue to do so.
