Details of your catches: Few mirrors under 20lb 5 mirrors in the 20's 3 mirrors over 30lb including a pb of 37-15lb 2 catfish, 1 at 17-8lb and 1at 20-1lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: I found fishing tight lines to about 4 to 6ft of island marging. Using kd and multi rigs with boilie and pop ups.

Were the facilities what you expected? They were a lot better than i expected, couldn't fault a thing!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Definatly and would like to return again myself another year

Details of your catches: : as a group we had 28 carp from the main lake and 6 from the fun lake. Craig had 9 fish in total up to 29lb 13oz including a cat from the match lake of 20lb.chris had 11 carp 3 x 30 and a 42.1 common. Reg had 8 carp to 37.15lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Started the week fishing boilie over a bed of pellet but found fishing boilie over boilie to be more successful. I fished dna baits nuttas and s7 as usual. Most rigs worked but we found balanced bottom baits worked well, also single pop ups.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes better that i expected to be honest, the cabin, toilet and shower are all kept immaculate.
Were you happy with them? Yes : more than happy

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes without a doubt i'll be recommending monument to anyone looking for week in france.
Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes and i know we will be back

General comments: An absolutly beautifull lake with exceptional fishing and stunning fish!
Mark and angela run it superbly offering advice and inderth knowledge!
The food package is out of this world...resturant quality food,piping hot and delivered to your swim, every dish home cooked to perfection!!!
I would come back for the food alone.

General comments: All though a long drive and weather against us,in the warmer months would produce a good head of carp per angler
also mark the owner is very friendly

General comments: Le monument is an ideal venue as the fish are challenging to catch but more than catch able
i would recommend the food package as the food is excellent and it saves allot of hassle

Details of your catches: All in all we managed 4 30s to 33.4 . Ten 20s to 29.8. A 19.12 common and a small but stunning 17.11 mirror .

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: We found the best tactics were to fish cell boilie over pellet and boilie to the overhanging trees on the island

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes more than adequate for a drive and survive . The food package is amazing and it saved a lot of hassle

General comments: Les monument is a stunning venue and is excellently run by owners mark and his wife angela . We did struggle slightly due to the weather conditions although we still did manage 20 bites with 16 fish being landed. I will not hesitate in returning to les monument.
