Overview
Renarde is an exceptionally pretty and natural 17 acre lake in the Champagne region, a 4hr drive from Calais. This lake is a hidden gem, for fans of more natural lakes and somewhere to 'get away from it all'.
Renarde has history as a carp lake, but since 2020 has been under the expert management of the Bachelier family, renowned for their French carp lakes such as Jonchery. With this new management has come a greater stock of carp to over 60lb.
Swims are booked in advance here, so you'll need to decide which swim you'd like when you book. The lake features three designated swim options, accommodating up to six anglers when booked on a non-exclusive basis. Alternatively, you can reserve the entire lake exclusively for your group of up to eight anglers. You'll find bays, a central island and overhanging margins to explore.
Simply put, this is great carp fishing on a beautiful lake... for anglers that want back to basics French carping it's definitely worth a visit.

"We caught 35 fish between us - I caught 14 myself, my biggest was a 46.2 grass carp. The facility hut had continuous hot water in the shower which was nice. Had a big fridge with a little freezer above and plenty of sockets for charging, can't fault the hut at all. Had a good week's fishing, the huts behind swim 1 and 5 was nice, went round and had dinner and a few beers with the lads every night and the fact u ain't stuck in your bivvy when it's raining is nice, good for social."
