Overview
Carp Lakes near Calais - Beaurepaire
Beaurepaire has been a well kept secret by many who have fished it. It’s a natural gravel pit, just 2½ hours from Calais that holds a good stock of big carp to over 73lb and large catfish too.
The lake is around 7 acres and would ideally suit a group of up to six anglers looking to book a lake exclusively… but individual bookings are welcome too. There are no designated swims but there’s plenty of room to bivvy up. The main feature is a large spit in the centre of the lake, which offers the perfect base for a group social whilst giving access to all parts of the lake.
Overall, we’d describe this lake as a classic French carp fishing venue - simple in facilities, left in a natural state and home to an excellent stock of carp.
