Details of your catches: 3 anglers, all fishing days only. 2 thirties, 7 twenties, 11 doubles two of the twenties were commons, all others mirrors.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Mainly fished standard bottom rigs with boilies. Quest magnum whites most popular, with rajha spice and chilli chocolate also catching. Even had 3 fish on method feeder (one of which fell to a piece of pepperami as hookbait). Caught the fish over chris's parti mix or carp pellet.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes - the gite had everything we needed. Log burner was excellent and much needed given the serious drop in temperature we had in our week. One of the group is a great cook and the big double oven was great.

General comments: Chris and steph were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble right from the moment we got there. Lake was just right for the three of us to move around a bit. Weather was not great and the big drop in temperature from previous weeks in mid twenties to having ground frost two days and barely scratching 15 degrees in the day made the fishing a real challenge. That said, we caught 21 fish in total, with 2 thirties amongst them. Fish came out from either the trees by the dam wall, or in the shallower end of the lake under the trees (you'll see where if you go, its the trees with tackle hanging in!) all taken from the margins in the shallow end, or near to trees at the deeper end. The gite has a useful folder showing the lake when it was empty and gives you a good read of lake bottom, worth a look! We would definitely go back.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: All caught under the trees fishing from the dam wall on my left using a snowman rig.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? I would absolutely recommend the venue to a friend, i think if the weather had been kinder the week would have been ever better.
Would you recommend our services to a friend? I would also definitely recommend angling lines services, whilst nick did all the heavy lifting on organising the trip it did seem very smooth.

General comments: Great venue, lovely genial hosts who are always happy to help made the whole week very enjoyable. The surroundings are beautiful and the fishing was pretty damn good too!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Fished under the trees - used nutty jaffa from active baits and 10mm cell barrels and round boilies with a nutty stick mix with mainline banoffee liquid . Rigs mixture of coated and sleeved braid. (note from chris: fished over lake tutti fruiti partimix)

General comments: Fishing - on average 4 fish per day, really good fishing, beautiful scenic place. Fish all in great condition.
Accommodation - absolutely fantastic place, i cannot wait to come back. Myself and my 3 boys have stayed for the week (and my other half and his dad fishing) and loved it.
The gite has everything you could need and is very child friendly. Clean and warm and welcoming.
Steph, chris and their children are lovely - we were made to feel very welcome and were shown all their beautiful animals.

General comments: We had a great session at notaires/alder for november, caught every day and only fished one night. Multiple takes were common once on the fish. 4 fish possible in one hour. Best tactics: bait little and often, big bed of bait didn't work so well
