More big carp stocked at Sapphire
Michel Bigot has just netted one of his stock ponds and dispatched 10 more carp to Sapphire Lake. The best of these were two mirrors weighing 45lb and 43lb. The others were all upper twenties.
These are added to the nine 40’s and the 50 we saw him stock a few weeks ago.

Here’s the video of the carp stocked at Sapphire in November 2010. A summary of the weights were as follows:
* 5 fish between 41lb and 43lb
* 2 fish at 44lb a piece
* the top three weighed in at 48lb, 49lb… and of course the 53lb common.

New Boomerang carp lake video
Boomerang is a brand new venue for 2011 & here’s your first chance to take a look at it via this venue video.
Boomerang is a well stocked carp lake in the beautiful Poitou Charentes region of France, 3 hours 45 minutes from Caen. It takes its name from its boomerang shaped lake and that’s not the only unusual thing about it. In addition to its excellent lakeside accommodation with covered terrace, each of its 4 main swims has the luxury of an electricity supply and BBQ.
All of this available on an exclusive basis for up to 4 anglers. Take a look…..
Lillypool gets additional carp
Here’s the short video clip of the recent additional stocking at Lillypool.
To recap; on 18th December 2009 a further 55 carp were stocked. Six of the fish were just under 20lbs with the rest ranging from 20 to 30lb, the average weight being 24lb 10oz, and the biggest being 29lb 5oz with two lovely commons of 28lb 12oz and 28lb.
Preparing for a Carp Fishing Session in France
Some of you may remember this film that we gave away in 2007 as bonus footage on the Angling Lines DVD. Well I came across the clips on a hard drive this week and thought that it might be useful to post them on the blog here for all to see and enjoy…
The film follows carp anglers, Shaun Harrison, Ron Woodward, Martin Cowie and Justin Brearley on a fishing trip to the Etang de Remy in France. We follow the group from their departure in the UK onto the ferry and throughout their week’s fishing. It gives a nice insight into France and French carp fishing, for beginners and experienced anglers alike.

Here is the second part of the casting video I shot with Shaun Harrison and Mark Hutchinson in February of this year. This part goes through the casting technique recommended by Mark to get extra distance. (It’s in two clips because Youtube limits the clips to 10 minutes). So here is part 2 & 3:
