Our website features an outstanding collection of carp lakes in France, and each one is a credit to the dedicated people who run them. With this in mind, we spoke with Fabien at Linstant and asked him a few questions to learn more about his journey.
1. When did you discover carp fishing and how did you come to be here at the lake?
I learned to fish for carp from an early age with my dad and later with friends. Over the years, I wanted to have my own lake to fish, and eventually decided to open a venue so I could welcome anglers and meet new people.
2. What’s the best and worst part of being the owner?
For me, the best thing about being an owner is to be able to manage the lake in my own way and to improve the environment on a daily basis.
The worst thing is avoiding fish mortality.

4. When people arrive is there anything they are surprised by?
When people arrive for the first time, they’re often surprised by the beauty of the place and how peaceful it is.
3. What would you say is the best feature of your lake?
The best thing on the lake is the fishing pods with electricity and wifi, the quality of the sanitary facilities, the exclusivity of the lake and the tranquillity.

5. What is the most common mistake you see anglers make at your lake?
The most common mistake is using the boat too much.
6. Finally, what is the one most important piece of advice you’d give to anglers visiting your lake soon?
My advice would be to fish precisely and make the most of the bait boat.
