Holiday Feedback Form

Name of customer: Cliff Walker,Kevin Potterill, Neil Huckle and Darr

Venue:  Margot

Date of holiday: 02-07-2005 to 09-07-2005

No. of persons fishing: 4

Brief details of your catches: total 83 fish, 3 x 40's, 15 x 30's, 39 x 20's, in that was 2 x small cats, 5 x Koi plus some doubles

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Most of the fish were caught on peach & pepper premier & mainline pineapple at long range, only because the water was so low the fish couldn't come in to the margins, using wader's/chestie's or a bait boat helps.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes

Were you happy with them? Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes

General comments: Well done to Neil, Darren and Kevin each having caught 40's, Neil 42lb mirror, Darren 44lb mirror and Kevin top it out with 45lb common. I (Cliff) had to settle with a brace of 35lb mirror's and my target fish the red/orange Koi at 21lb. I hear that you have been getting some negative reports back. Yes the first impressions of the lake are not good because of the new bankside track thats been created, but once you start fishing you forget all that because it has some good fish in it. The showers and hut are the best I have seen and I have fished in France for a few years now, so I have seen a few. So overall it was great, although the weather was on our side from the point of view of catching fish.

Holiday Feedback Form

Name of customer: D Curtis

Venue:  Margot

Date of holiday: 02-07-2005 to 09-07-2005

No. of persons fishing: 4

Brief details of your catches: Darren: 18 fish in total, total weight 439lb 4oz; 9x mirrors biggest 44lb PB; 3x commons to 29lb; 2x catfish to 17lb 8oz; 2x koi to 16lb 8oz; 26lb grass carp. Neil: 21 fish in total, biggest 42lb mirror. Kev: 23 fish in total, biggest 45lb common. Cliff: 20 fish in total, biggest 35lb 8oz.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: You don't need to bait heavily, just small pockets around your hook bait is all you need. Take waders, you will need them. Bait boats are a very good method, I was fishing at around 100-140 yds. You could walk your bait out on the far side of the lake if you wanted to.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes. The facilities were excellent, there is a cabin on the lakeside which is a good size; it has an English toilet, 2 showers, a separate washroom with 2 sinks & a heater; a kitchen with a sink, 2 fridges, chest freezer & a gas hob, saucepans & a picnic style bench to eat at. It also has English style plug sockets for charging boats, phones, etc. So on the positive side, the best facilities we have had.

Were you happy with them? Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes. The directions were very good so we arrived in plenty of time.

General comments: You have to put a lot of effort into fishing this lake, and god it's worth it. Best week's fishing I have ever had and I think that I can safely say that for all of us. Thank you.
