Overview
Manière is a 5 acre spring fed lake, home to an impressive stock of carp to over 62lb and suitable for up to 4 anglers. Set in the pretty Charente region, you hire this venue exclusively for the week and it includes the modern lakeside accommodation with two twin bedrooms, sleeping 4 people. A maximum of 5 people can stay at this venue, if one or more people are bivvying up.
The average weight of carp, with many at 40lb+, will not disappoint even the most serious of anglers. There's plenty of swim choice here with a selection of doubles and singles, and two small islands provide features to fish to.
Equally, this venue suits those looking to take non-anglers too - the location is utterly charming and it has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. A second smaller lake on the property has been kept as a natural swimming/activity pond, with a sand beach to one end and even two kayaks to have a paddle! An idyllic place to retreat to for a spot of wild swimming and sun bathing.
All of this is set within 10 acres of land, including a large pretty garden and lovely countryside views. The venue has been carefully curated by owners Caroline and Ray over the past few years and we are very impressed by the high standard of everything they have achieved here.

"We had a fantastic weeks fishing on a well looked after lake with a good stock of pristine fish. Took the lake record at 62lb 3oz. Also had a 61lb mirror, 3 x 30's and 3x 40's. Owner Ray was a fantastic host offering plenty of advice when required and letting us fish undisturbed as we liked. A really nice chap."
