Overview
Villefond is an 8-acre water with the charm and intimacy of a small English estate lake. Impressive 40lb+ fish are a real possibility here and there are both commons and mirrors to over 65lb.
At Villefond the carp will test your angling skills... but get your presentation right, encourage the fish to feed confidently, and you will experience some amazing and memorable carp fishing. There are 6 well placed single swims and a double swim on the lake - this is for a maximum of 5 anglers on non-exclusive weeks (swim draw on arrival) and a maximum of 6 anglers on exclusive weeks.
A new angler's cabin was installed in 2026, giving the venue a comfortable social hub to complement the fishing. You have the following facilities available to you:
- Full kitchenette and modern shower room
- Chill-out area with sofa, darts board and pool table
- Bait available on site
- Optional food package with meals delivered directly to your swim
- Compact shelter with bed on Swim 8 - a step up from a bivvy without the full lodge price tag

"I discovered fishing as a child, starting with roach and perch on maggots and gradually moving on to small carp and then bigger ones, always encouraged by my parents, Debbie and John. After trips to France chasing truly massive carp with friends and family, we realised owning our own lake would be a dream worth pursuing - and by sheer luck, the opportunity came along at Villefond over 10 years ago now. We're incredibly passionate about growing on our big carp and we aim to give every guest a very warm welcome."
