Overview
Brocard Large is a 39-acre carp lake set deep within picturesque, wildlife-abundant woodland in the Champagne region of France - one of our most natural, back-to-nature venues. It's created and run by the prominent fish-farming Bachelier family, and holds a genuinely excellent head of good-sized carp to over 64lb.
With several double swims (three of which can also be booked by a single angler if needed), up to 16 anglers can fish across plenty of space and genuine solitude - this is a lake where you can properly switch off and enjoy excellent, straight-forward fishing.
Swims are booked in advance at Brocard, so you'll need to decide which swim you'd like when you book - you'll find detailed descriptions of each swim under the 'Lake' tab. If you're looking for a serious water with a strong average size of carp in a very natural setting, this natural carp lake in France could be the one for you.
Thinking of booking this as a lake exclusive for your group? From August to November we recommend a maximum of 12 anglers, since summer water levels drop and 12 still leaves plenty of space and water for everyone, even in the hottest years.

"My family has a long tradition of fish farming and managing exceptional carp fishing lakes in France. We are now in the third generation of fish farmers, and we first met the English carp angling community over 30 years ago. From the very beginning, we have bred our own carp to ensure the best experience for our anglers, offering different lakes for different fishing experiences. Our experienced and dedicated bailiffs Franck and Mark (pictured) are always excited to welcome you to the lakes."
