Overview
*New for 2026*
Duquesne is a picturesque 5-acre carp lake in Northern France, and the newest offering from the owners of the incredibly popular Cerises. Less than three hours from the Calais, it offers affordable exclusive lake hire for up to four anglers, comfortable lakeside facilities and pretty reliable action from around 200 carp to over 48lb, making it ideal for relaxed fishing holidays, families or first-time French trips.
It provides a very comfortable set-up with a simple lakeside cabin and covered seating and BBQ area behind one of the large double swims - an ideal spot to relax and share a meal while keeping an eye (and ear) out for the buzzers.
The fishing here offers great variety, with catches ranging from doubles to over 30lb, and a current lake record of 48lb. Beautiful koi, sturgeon, and catfish add to the mix, making for an eye-catching gallery.
For groups seeking easy-going carp fishing, with the exciting possibility of landing a big one, this is an excellent choice. We also think it's the perfect lake to introduce the kids to a fishing and camping holiday, with good facilities on hand to keep everyone happy. Thanks to its tiered pricing structure, it remains affordable even for just one or two anglers.
This peaceful countryside retreat offers a charming atmosphere while still being conveniently close to amenities in the nearby town of Pacy-sur-Eure. The city of Paris is just over an hour away.
Early visitors consistently praise the friendly hosts, excellent facilities and catch rates, with many commenting that Duquesne exceeded their expectations and is a venue they'd happily return to.

Carla and Gérard
"We discovered carp fishing by chance - Gérard started out fishing for trout and I (Carla) was completely new to it. Opening our lakes to anglers has brought us immense joy, especially seeing people realise their dream of fishing in France for the first time. The best part of owning the lakes is meeting so many different people, including our regular visitors who return again and again. Our lake’s highlight is its peace and tranquility. Our advice to anglers: observe the lake, prepare carefully, and avoid overfeeding the fish. We’re always on hand to help, but otherwise leave you to enjoy the serenity."
