Overview
Blue Lake is a 15-acre gravel pit in France known for its crystal-clear water, with carp to over 67lb and 11 large swims (most doubles) for up to 10 anglers. It's one of the closest big carp lakes to the Channel ports - just 2½ hours from Caen and 4 hours from Calais. With over 470 excellent reviews and many anglers returning year after year, it's one of our most trusted and popular venues.
You can expect some seriously arm aching action from hard fighting carp here and an excellent head at over 40lb and both mirrors and commons reaching well over 60lb. Lined with trees and wide grassy borders, the lake has a lovely shape and a large variety of features - small bays, open water and various gravel bars. The crystal clear water in the sunshine gives the lake its name.
It can be hired as a lake exclusive for your group or on an individual basis. A maximum of 8 anglers (or 10 if booked exclusively) have the choice of 11 swims; 10 of these being big doubles, so mates can be very sociable but without feeling hemmed in. All have easy access via car and you're welcome to park behind your swim for the week, making it ideal for those with campervans too.
