Overview
Souvenirs offers exceptional carp fishing close to Calais on a tranquil 75-year-old gravel pit that remained untouched by anglers until 2023. It’s a venue perfectly suited to the thinking angler who appreciates a more natural lake, yet still wants comfortable swims and well-considered facilities.
The stock is impressive and diverse, with around 290 stunning carp to over 58lb, including more than 72 fish introduced from the world-famous Euro Aqua strain.
With 11 swims, all positioned across two banks and reserved exclusively for groups of up to eight anglers, Souvenirs provides a relaxed, sociable atmosphere without feeling crowded.
The journey is straightforward too - just 2hrs45 from Calais, with an easy drive straight down the A26 autoroute.
Lac des Souvenirs translates as 'Lake of Memories' and that's exactly what anglers will create here. Owner Nigel has put much care into the detail and it really does 'have it all'.

"Despite the daytime temperatures often hitting 40c we still managed over 40 fish between us. The lake is a wild gravel pit with weed, clear spots, marginal snags etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and are rebooking for next year. If you want a different experience than what 85% of French carp fishing lakes offer, I would book this place soon."

The lake is beautiful and varied, not just your average bland lake and the fish are stunning. On top of that the facilities made the trip so much nicer and Lewis made us feel at home and was happy to help which really helped the group make the most of our time there. The carp are incredible - stunning dark commons and beautifully plated mirrors, some gaining over 20lb in just two years.
