Overview
Cailleaux is one of our most straight forward carp lakes in France - a 4.5-acre lake holding a big head of carp to over 59lb and catfish to over 160lb, you can usually expect to catch plenty of both. It's exactly the kind of relaxed, fuss-free week that makes for a genuinely easy carp fishing holiday.
The lake is booked for a maximum of 5 anglers on non-exclusive weeks, or up to 7 anglers if booked by your group exclusively. Five double swims sit along one bank, giving a very sociable, easy-to-fish layout.
Cailleaux is in north-west France, a short 2h30 drive from the port of Caen and 4h from Calais. On site, facilities are kept simple and unfussy, keeping the focus firmly on the quality of the fishing. The lake is managed expertly by the Vasseur family, who we've worked with for many years on the popular Blue Lake and Lepinet carp lakes in France.

"We are brothers Sébastien and Cyril, and together we manage Cailleaux along with three other Angling Lines venues, supported by a small, dedicated team. Alongside running the lakes, our family also operate a separate successful fish farming business in the area, continuing a tradition passed down from our parents and grandparents."
