Overview
Brocard Small is a 29-acre lake in France's Champagne region holding carp to over 50lb and catfish up to 110lb, with just 4 double swims for a maximum of 8 anglers - one of the best two-species venues in our French portfolio. Nestled in peaceful woodland, it's part of a complex created and managed by the renowned Bachelier fish-farming family, alongside its sister lake, Brocard Large.
Long and narrow in shape, each of the four double swims is thoughtfully positioned for privacy and solitude - you'll feel completely tucked away, immersed in the quiet of nature. It's the perfect place to switch off and unwind.
The lake's well-established stock of mature carp and powerful catfish has thrived here for years, making for a rewarding and authentic angling experience for anglers targeting either species.
Swims are booked in advance at Brocard, so you'll need to decide which swim you'd like when you book - you'll find detailed descriptions of each swim under the 'Lake' tab.
Thinking of booking this as a lake exclusive for your group? From August to November we recommend a maximum of 6 anglers, since summer water levels drop and 6 still leaves plenty of space and water for everyone, even in the hottest years.

"My family has a long tradition of fish farming and managing exceptional carp fishing lakes in France. We are now in the third generation of fish farmers, and we first met the English carp angling community over 30 years ago. From the very beginning, we have bred our own carp to ensure the best experience for our anglers, offering different lakes for different fishing experiences. Our experienced and dedicated bailiffs Franck and Mark (pictured) are always excited to welcome you to the lakes."
