Overview
Laroussi is a 60 year old gravel pit set in the heart of the beautiful Pays de la Loire countryside. It's a really interesting, tricky and beautiful lake for the thinking angler with varied underwater features. There are some truly iconic carp to target, such as the 65lb+ fully scaled mirror and the pristine 50lb+ zip linear.
Back in 2005 Laroussi burst onto the big fish scene with a bang... the catches were simply stunning and made headlines in most of the Carp Press. Laroussi has been providing fantastic carp fishing in France ever since and you're assured a warm welcome from owner Mehdi.
It lies close to Le Mans, an easy 4hr drive from the port of Calais and 1hr45 from Caen. Laroussi has bait available to purchase on site and also baitboats you can hire - find out more under the 'optional extras' and 'facilities' tabs.

It's not an easy water but find the spots, adapt tactics to the situation and you will be successful. I find the gravel areas around the margins produced well and features in open water work well if you have a boat."

I’m also a long-distance casting champion and, on a different note, hold a world record in vegetable growing! I greatly enjoy sharing both of my lakes with guests - it is a joy to witness so many new PB's each year."
