MDP Lake is a small, exclusive carp lake in France, available for up to 3 anglers, set in its own private valley on the border of the Limousin-Perigord Natural Park. Quality carp run to over 48lb, with an impressive average weight in the mid-thirties.
The 4.5 acre lake is bordered by the river Crassat to the west and mature oak woodland to the east - it is truly one of the most beautiful settings we've seen. Three single swims sit along the east bank with a comfortable, central area with BBQ and picnic bench that allows you to socialise whilst keeping your rods out.
Recent guests praised the meticulous swim layout and abundant wildlife. Another angler had an average weight of nearly 39lb and described the fishery as one they'd return to again and again. Guests consistently highlight owners Scott and Heather's hospitality, along with the standard of the facilities.
Fly & Fish All-Inclusive Package
MDP Lake offers an optional all-inclusive fly-in package, giving UK anglers easy access to a premium carp fishing holiday with a hassle-free travel experience. The package is available for up to 2 anglers and includes:
- Return airport transfers from Limoges airport (40 minutes from the lake)
- Two taxi trips during the week to the local supermarket
- Tackle hire, including rods, reels, bite alarms, bedchair, bivvy and cooking equipment etc

Scott and Heather
"I’m Scott, and together with my wife Heather, we live on site and are delighted to welcome guests to our lake. I’ve been carp fishing for over 40 years, including three years at Sparsholt College, and have 30 years’ experience in fish farming, fishery management and the water industry. Owning a lake near Limoges has been a dream of mine since I first fished in the region nearly 20 years ago. Just before Brexit, Heather and I made that dream a reality, creating our own fishery and personally handling all the swim building, snag removal, planting and fishery enhancements. Now we’re excited to share it with you."
