Holiday Feedback Form

Name of customer:  Ian Kelly

Venue:  Maurepaire

Date of holiday: 21-06-2008 to 28-06-2008

No. of persons fishing: 2

Brief details of your catches: Not many fish landed due to the very hot sunny conditions. Fish loss due to berbless rules on venue. Anglers are on holiday and may have to wait a long time to catch and then loose fish due to barbless hooks. The venue needs to review rules and allow micro barb hooks.

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Maurepsire not fishable unless you use a bait boat. Fish are at far margins and you will not catch many fish unless you fish to the far rushes. Only did 2 nights on Remy, only pegs 4&5 fishable. Needs swims clearing to fish.

Were the facilities what you expected? Worse

Were you happy with them? No. road to Remy is a disgrace, only for 4 wd vehicles. Maurepaire, conditions good showers good.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Remy, Yes. Maurepaire, no

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes, You were very helpfull, many thanks.

General comments: Angling Lines were great, helped overcome our problems at Remy mud and poor vehicle access. The swims 4&5 are fine, peg 3 overgrown with trees etc. Unable to cast & bivvy up. Pegs 1&2 totaly unfishable cut the swims again. Remy is in a bad way!!

Name of customer:  Richard Sheppard

Venue:  Maurepaire

Date of holiday: 24-05-2008 to 31-05-2008

No. of persons fishing: 1

Brief details of your catches: 4 Commons - 33lb 7oz, 23lb 1oz, 26lb 2oz and 25lb 15oz2 Mirrors - 29lb 12oz and 34lb 11oz

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Hook baits were fished with boilies (Assasin8 and Quest Rhaja Spice), combination of single or double hook baits, with particles (pellets and hemp with maize - or as Paul would call it - monkey sick!!!) Baits and particles were boated out to defined positions within 15ft of the reeds. Both the baits were successful in catching fish - biggest fish being caught on the Quest Rhaja Spice.

Were the facilities what you expected? Yes

Were you happy with them? Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? Yes - already have

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Yes - have done and they have used your services already - to Genets

General comments: The(washing) facilities at Maurepaire are very good and clean. A freezer has been installed now for baits which is a great help. Only a couple of electric points so it's a good idea to take a multiplug extension lead. Paul is extremely helpful and gives good advice. I had booked into swim 1 but he suggested that as it had not fished well for the last few weeks, I might like to try swim 3, he even advised me that as I only had pellets, I mights like to try the hemp & maize - which worked.

Venue:  Maurepaire

Date of holiday: 10-05-2008 to 24-05-2008

No. of persons fishing: 2

Brief details of your catches: 2 doubles, 8 x 20s from 22-27.5 & 1 x 30

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: Far bank rushes, 200 yds +

Were the facilities what you expected? No

Were you happy with them? No

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? No

Would you recommend our services to a friend? yes

General comments: This was the worst venue i have fished in France. If this was my first trip i wouldn't be going back it was that bad. The good news is that the so called rat problem isn't that bad if you keep your peg clear of bait & take your bait in buckets so they cant get at it.

Name of customer:  Martin Almey & Ian Jones

Venue:  Maurepaire

Date of holiday: 03-05-2008 to 10-05-2008

No. of persons fishing: 2

Brief details of your catches: We managed to land 15 fish between us from 20-8lb to a New PB for Martin of 37-12lb. Ian had 1x30 and 9x20's and Martin had 1x30 and 4x20's

What did you find were the best tactics/baits: The tactics we used were to boat out quite large beds of pellets, particles and fished 18-20mm boilies. The fish fell to Pineapple boilies and spicey boilies. Most of the fish came from the Reeds on the far bank which is between 185 and 210yrds from peg 2. because the lakes has a very silty bottom casting heavy leads is impossible so you need a bait boat.

Were the facilities what you expected? These were fine, could do with some extra sockets though

Were you happy with them? yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend? yes

Would you recommend our services to a friend? Definatly

General comments: It was not the easiest weeks fishing we have ever had, The weather was baking hot every single day and the fish were spawning hard most of the week. The lake is stunning tho and the fish were in pristine condition. The lake is running alive with rats and as Ian found they quite like getting in your bivvy with you!!
