Situated alongside the Champagne forest, the Woods Lake is a 12 acre gravel pit that was excavated in 1987. The lake was stocked immediately so the current population is established, well balanced and healthy.

New in 2007 a peninsula was built to reach the island and there are plans to set up a portacabin this year with toilet and shower for exclusive use of Woods anglers.

Woods lake is quite technical to fish with an island, gravel bars and weed from June to August. However, it is entertaining and there are plenty of fish to go for. The size ranges are varied, the next carp could be 5lb or 40lb+

The main attraction of Woods Lake is the possibility of combining classic carp fishing with fishing for Wels catfish, they range from 30lb to 100lb+ and will respond to boilies as well as specific methods such as livebaits, deadbaits or worms.

There is a toilet and shower close to the site and a communal kitchen area equipped with an electric double cooker, a fridge and a double sink.  A large eating area is available with a large table and two bench seats.  There is a plentiful free supply of hot water.

Further to the above, the owner has his farm very close by 
( 2 minutes by car ) where further facilities have been made available to the visiting anglers.
