On Wednesday 18th October 2006 the owners at Genet had the professional fish farmers in netting the lake to remove all the unwanted small fish. As you’ll see they netted most of the roach & around 70 of the carp... that being just over half the stock.

All the carp seen were in excellent condition and there were at least 30 x 30lb+. Only one was weighed & that had the scales bouncing at around 39 to 40lb. Amazingly they removed over a ton of roach, which will help greatly with the subsequent growth of the carp as competition for food reduces.
