Beaurepaire
The lake is approximately 7 acres and is situated in the Aisne region of northern France just north of Reims. This former sand pit was excavated fairly recently as the workings finished in 1996.

Botte

Boux
Boux is firmly established as one of the top lakes in France, holding around 300 carp to 62lb and grass carp up to 45lb. It has a very large head of 20lb+ fish and it’s an action water too... 50 to 80 carp out per week is not at all uncommon. Take a look at the customer feedback section and you’ll see the regularity of big catches here.

Cedar
Cedar Lake is a mature gravel pit which lies a few minutes drive from its sister venue, the Island Lake. At around 4 acres in size and with bankside accommodation it’s ideally suited to a small group of up to 4 anglers to book exclusively.

Following the fantastic success of Morgane lakes fish farmer Michel Bigot has decided to open a second lake just 1km away. He’s replicated Morganes as closely as possible – a lake you book exclusively for up to 6 anglers, complete with mobile home accommodation and stuffed full of large, pristine carp.

Croix Blanche
This video was shot in the summer of 2004 with the help of resident full time bailiff Karl King. He gives a brief run down of his incredible success at the venue having taken carp to 61lb. The film clip also captures the atmosphere of the site and finishes with a flurry of highly impressive shots from the bailiff’s own video gallery including the current complex record of 66lb 2oz.

Croix Blanche 2
NEW for 2007… A & J Euro Carp Sessions will be running fully inclusive trips to this established water close to the Croix Blanche. As with the Croix trips you’ll be picked up at Dover & transported to the lake by luxury coach. The food is of the same excellent quality while the fishing will be more prolific on this ‘runs’ type venue where the average will be high doubles, but with a very large head of 20lb+ fish.

Etang du Moulin

Genets
Genêts is situated in the idyllic, peaceful countryside of the Pays de la Loire region, near Mayenne. Although easy to find with the directions supplied it is set well away from busy main roads - the only neighbours you'll be likely to see are cows grazing in the nearby fields - making this an ideal setting for a quiet week of fishing away from it all.

The Great Lake - Goncourt Complex
A video shot in July in the company of Simon Horton. We had a superb catch on the Great Lake with fifteen takes for thirteen fish landed, including a 25lb fully-scaled mirror, a fat 30lb+ heavily scaled carp and a 37lb 10oz near linear mirror.

Hideaway
As the name suggests Hideaway is a secluded lake in the Normandy countryside, just 1'/z hours from the ferry port of Caen, and is available for exclusive bookings for groups of 3 or 4 anglers. Hideaway has been established since 1947, contains carp and catfish to over 40lb.

Hooked in France
A short video clip shot by Jon Greenwood during a session in the Spring of 2003. Shows the capture of a 50lb+ sturgeon & 30lb+ mirror. A return visit in August, despite the poor weather, saw me have better luck when lake owner Lee thorn got stuck into his fish and one of his guest landed a thirty pound plus catfish.

Island Lake is over 30 years old and set in 35 acres of beautiful woodland, lying close to the River Seine. It’s a 3.5 hour drive from Calais and only 45 minutes from Paris and Euro Disney - a real bonus for non-angling partners.

Lac du Val
Lac du Val is a 4½ acre lake set in northern Normandy, less than an hour's drive from the ferry port of Caen. The privacy of the site allows peaceful and tranquil carp fishing in lush rural surroundings. A maximum of five anglers may fish at any one time and it is possible to book the lake exclusively.

Long Lake
Shot in July 2007 this film presents a very well appointed gravel pit in the Eastern part of France. We join Paul Cooper and Jim Kelly who get stuck into some lovely conditioned carp and a few huge sturgeon. A runs water of nearly 18 acres it has excellent onsite facilties.

Margot - restocking FEB 2006
Below are three short video clips that show the restocking of the venue on the 15th & 16th February 2006.
Video 1: The netting of Margot on 15th February to do a stock check and ascertain exact stock levels; 117 carp were counted, 105 grass carp, 4 sturgeon and 3 catfish.

Margot
A film made in August 2006 on this now famous big fish lake in the Mayenne region of northern France. The film was shot in the company of Jim Kelly and Paul Cooper and shows the lads getting amongst carp and Koi to over 30lb. There’s a brief interview with the anglers where they share their tactics for fishing the venue and their impressions. Also included is footage of the newly refurbished facilities.

Mas Bas

Maurepaire is an established 30 acre lake set in its own secure grounds and lying in a rural region near the Orient Forest in Eastern France. It is open from the end of March to the middle of August and can be reached from Calais in around 4 hours.

Old Oaks
Old Oaks is a 34 year old virgin gravel pit of about 5 acres, situated just opposite Laroussi, around 3 hours from Caen. It has never been fished, being left wild and undisturbed since it was dug. A delightfully pretty little water it’s aimed at carpers seeking an exclusive venue for up to 5 anglers.

Remy
Remy is 25 acres in size, set in the heart of a forest near the famous Lac D'Orient, around 4 hours from Calais. The setting is wild & undisturbed with overhanging trees, lilies & fringes of reeds around the perimeter.

Ribière
The first of our short video clips shows the vidange of this heavily stocked carp lake, near Limoges. You can see the lake bed including the incredible Roman stone bridge that lies in the centre.

Film 2 takes us back to Ribiere at the height of summer in July 2005. We are treated to real festival of carp, including a 30lb common, a 30lb+ fully scaled mirror and to top things off a near forty…. all in the space of a few short hours. We then take a quick visit round the excellent onsite accommodation, including the studio apartments and swimming pool. The owner Michel Bonneau gives a brief interview to round off the clip.

Roseau
The Roseau complex is just 2.5 hours from Calais and has two lakes of 12 and 2 acres. The Large lake is a prolific runs water (and we mean prolific!) with the carp averaging mid twenties, whilst the Small lake has better stamp of fish in smaller numbers - best up to 47lb 12oz.

The Etang La Sauvellière is a 3.5 acre lake set in the Mayenne countryside less than 100 miles from the ferry port of Caen. The venue is extremely private set in its own fenced grounds in a tranquil and peaceful area of Normandy.

St Christophe
We followed Quest Baits boss Shaun Harrison on a recent trip to this large Champagne region gravel pit in August 2007. During a busy French bank holiday week he was top rod on the venue, banking eleven carp including a superb 54lb 4oz mirror on his own baits. The clip captures the clarity and colour of this excellent venue.

Windmill Lakes
This latest video clip was shot in July 2007 at this picturesque venue in the West of France between Laval and Le Mans.
During the filming the anglers present had a number of lovely fish including a 50lb+ catfish, a 30lb+ mirror and a large Grass carp... needless to say they were delighted with the fishing and the venue. Also includes a brief interview with owners, David and Sue Bainbridge, where they tell us about stocks and the recent improvements which include a fully equipped lakeside chalet.

Woods lake is quite technical to fish with an island, gravel bars and weed from June to August. However, it is entertaining and there are plenty of fish to go for. The size ranges are varied, the next carp could be 5lb or 35lb.

Embalse de Chira - Canary Islands
Nestling in the mountains at 900m the Embalse de Chira comes as somewhat of a culture shock to those of us used to the lush green, tree lined banks of northern European lakes. Here the landscape is stark and rugged, made up of volcanic rocks and stones. The bank sides are steep and in places access is not possible.
